We launched Work for Ukraine in the summer of 2022 to follow our dream. We want to make a a meaningful contribution towards altering they way we look at refugee crises.
The Founders
Gerhard Dekker has personally experienced the challenges facing a professional relocating to a new country. His professional life is rooted in reconstruction and development planning. During the past 25 years he worked on three continents. He is an experienced civil servant, consultant and designer who has worked for commercial & public organizations and NGOs.
For Work for Ukraine, Gerhard focuses on the sectors of spatial planning & development and architecture.

Jarik Stollenga has worked in international development as programme manager between 2015 and 2022. He focused on programming in local development and Syria refugee response, during which he also expanded and managed programme offices in Lebanon and Palestine.
For Work for Ukraine, Jarik focuses on strategic development and the sector of (psycho)social care.
